Speedway, Ind. (August 5, 2026) – Following the recent announcement that Jordan Missig will not be in the No. 48 Abel Motorsports Dallara, the team has announced that 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone Vice Champion Jacob Abel will fill in the seat at the Portland International Raceway for round 14 of the championship.
The Kentucky native boasts an impressive resume in the INDY NXT series with three wins, four pole positions and 14 podium finishes, including a win at the Portland International Raceway. The 25-year-old will get reacquainted with the Dallara IL-15 for the first time beginning with practice on Friday.
Abel Motorsports gets back to work on Friday August 7th from the Portland International Raceway for practice live on FOX Sports 2 beginning at 1:30pm PDT. Saturday brings the second practice and qualifying with both sessions being shown live on FOX Sports 1. 35 laps of racing action gets underway on Sunday August 9th with coverage beginning at 11:00am PDT on FOX Sports 1.
