Myles Rowe and Abel Motorsports with Force Indy Dominate with Come From Behind Win in St. Louis

–         Myles Rowe captures the victory at World Wide Technology Raceway becoming the record holder for the longest climb to victory in INDY NXT history going from 24th to 1st.

–         Rowe also becomes the Jostens Biggest Mover for the second race in a row with his 24th to 1st performance.

Indianapolis, Ind. (June 10, 2026) – Sunday’s INDY NXT by Firestone race at World Wide Technology Raceway was one for the history books, as Georgia native Myles Rowe delivered a stellar performance driving from his starting position of 24th all the way to the lead of the race – setting the INDY NXT by Firestone record for lowest starting position to win a race in INDY NXT history.

After qualifying on Saturday, Rowe knew that the No. 99 car had the pace to be at the front but a miscue at the end of qualifying meant Rowe would start from the back for the 75-lap race. Confident in his ability and his car, Rowe never wavered and began to craft a plan with the team on how they would strategically work their way to the front.

“I’m ecstatic for our victory at World Wide Technology Raceway, especially after the disappointment with qualifying. It was great to just go out and execute our race strategy just like we had discussed. Just so happy for the team and to give them this boost and just continue with that encouragement,” said Rowe.

“We need to keep building off of this momentum from Detroit and St. Louis, especially as we move to two double-headers at Road America and Mid-Ohio. Those double-headers are going to be very important for championship points, so looking to build and collect nothing but podium points off the momentum we have.”

The first visit to an oval in the Dallara IL-15 for Max Garcia was a memorable one, and an experience the 17-year-old can’t wait for more of. The excitement and close quarters racing of INDY NXT oval racing was thrilling for Garcia.

“First INDY NXT oval race in the books! There is just nothing like the intensity of wheel-to-wheel racing at these speeds, there is just no margin for error,” exclaimed Max Garcia.

“St. Louis threw everything at us, and I loved every second of the learning curve. I’m walking away with a massive amount of data and even more confidence. I’m already counting down the days until we’re back on an oval to put those lessons to work,” said Garcia.

Back in the top-10 for the fourth time this season, Joliet Illinois Jordan Missig was proud of the effort that he and his No. 48 crew gave and the points gained towards the championship.

“I felt the weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway was a solid weekend for us in the No. 48 Abel Motorsports machine. We knew we had a good handling car with some strong pace that would put us in contention to be competitive and we did just that,” said Missig.

“I probably left a little bit out on the track for qualifying that would have given us a better starting spot for the race, but there is a lot that can happen in the race and through some hard battles and wreck avoidance we came home with another top-10 finish on the season.”

Returning to World Wide Technology Raceway for the first time since the rain delayed race back in 2023, Colin Kaminsky felt the pace was in the Abel Motorsports Slick Locks machine, but unfortunately just couldn’t bring home the finishing position that Kaminsky had hoped for.

“We continue to show pace in the No. 57 Abel Motorsports Slick Locks car, but we weren’t able to bag any points to show for it,” said Kaminsky.

“We started at the back because of an issue with the brakes in qualifying, which is not ideal on any oval. Luckily the race car we had was great in traffic so we knew we could work our way forward. After I made my way up to 12th to salvage a decent day, I gave it all away on a late race restart because of a mistake on my part. The car was hooked up and I felt good all weekend, but we will have to take the driving confidence into Road America.”

Abel Motorsports now heads into an off-weekend before returning back to action for the double-header weekend at America’s National Park of Speed – Road America on June 20 – 21st.
