– Myles Rowe leads the ABEL charge with the second fastest lap of the day overall
– Jordan Missig returned for his second test session at Nashville Superspeedway landing in the top ten
Speedway, Ind. (April 7, 2025) – The INDY NXT by Firestone group test session at the Nashville Superspeedway was incredibly beneficial for ABEL Motorsports as they completed over 700 miles of testing on the 1.33-mile oval amongst their four cars.
Myles Rowe came away from the test day very pleased, not only with the pace he showed but also the experience he was able to gain completing 153 laps on the day.
“It was great to be back with my guys at ABEL Motorsports, and especially to get some more seat time on an oval. We were able to accomplish everything we needed to on our list pretty quickly, so it was great to have some time to fine tune setups and try different things that we might not normally try on a race weekend,” said Rowe.
Again near the top of the charts in INDY NXT testing, Rowe is excited as he thinks to the races ahead and what’s to come during the remainder of the 2025 season.
“Ovals are so different than any other track we go to, so to have speed right out the gate at Nashville was definitely a good sign for us, and means that we can work on just refining our setups instead of trying to figure out where to go from here. I can’t thank all of ABEL Motorsports enough for the fast cars we are bringing to the track, Mid-Ohio here we come,” said the Georgia native.
Rookie in the INDY NXT by Firestone series, Jordan Missig impressed all day long during the test clocking in the eighth overall fastest time of the day.
“I think we came away from our first oval test of the year at Nashville with lots of positives, and things that we can we take into the race weekend,” said Misisg.
“The biggest thing is that our cars showed really good speed throughout the no tow times, so we have the raw speed we need for a good qualifying effort,”.
Oval racing presents a unique challenge where you need a car with outright pace, but also a car that can handle well in the draft with other cars pushing dirty air everywhere.
“I think where we as a team will shine the best will be in traffic as our cars seem to be able to carve through the field better than anyone out there which gives us lots of confidence going into all the oval races in 2025 and a great opportunity to bring home some big points days, or even wins,” exclaimed Missig.
Jack William Miller headed to Nashville ready to put some laps on the No. 40 Homelink / Patterson Dental car, and see how his car handled in the draft and around other cars.
“I think Nashville went alright for us, we didn’t show quite the pace I had hoped we would but we got to try a lot of different setups and work through our entire test list,” said Jack William Miller.
“I think we have a few things we need to work on and tweak, but having three other teammates data to look over will definitely help guide our decisions. Overall, I am really looking forward to the ovals this season, my car really handled well in traffic allowing me to quickly suck up to the car in front so we shouldn’t have any problem getting to the front,” exclaimed the Indianapolis Indiana native.
Callum Hedge too was pleased with the ABEL Motorsports setups and feels that the time in Nashville will really come back to benefit him.
“I had a blast out on the oval at Nashville Superspeedway, there is nothing like an INDY NXT car on a high-speed oval,” exclaimed Hedge.
A few mechanical gremlins in the afternoon threw a wrench into the afternoon test plan, but Hedge and his No. 17 crew made the best of the situation at hand.
“We had a super productive morning session after some time off, but I felt like we picked up right where we left off. Some technical issues in the afternoon stopped our running a bit early, so we dropped down the timing charts but overall we have a really solid base that we can build off of when we come back in August,” stated Hedge.
It’s a quick break for the ABEL Motorsports squad before they return to action at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for more testing on April 22nd, followed by round two of the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone Championship on May 4th at the Barber Motorsports Park.
