FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Speedway, Ind. (August 18, 2022) – Abel Motorsports and team driver Jacob Abel are ready to go for the final oval event of the 2022 Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires season at the World Wide Technology Raceway. Abel heads into round 11 sitting 8th in series points.
After ending the Indy Lights Music City Grand Prix on a frustrating note, Abel is looking for a strong rebound on a track where he scored a top 10 finish last season in Indy Pro 2000. This will be Abel’s 4th time competing at the World Wide Technology Raceway.
“I’m really excited to get back on an oval, and especially an oval that I have run at before and done well. Last year in Indy Pro 2000 I got my best result at World Wide Technology Raceway, and I can’t wait to see what knowledge I learned last year I can apply this year to the bigger and faster Indy Lights car,” said Jacob Abel
The Indy Lights series at World Wide Technology Raceway gets underway Friday August 19th with practice and qualifying, followed by the green flag for the 75-lap event on August 20th at 3:20pm CT. Keep up with all the action all weekend long by following @abelmotorsports on social media.
