– Reigning USF Pro 2000 Champion and INDY NXT by Firestone Rookie Max Garcia will make his first laps in the Dallara IL-15 during the INDY NXT Rookie test at the Autobahn Country Club
Speedway, Ind. (September 23, 2025) – Off-season testing is officially underway for ABEL Motorsports as the team heads to the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet Illinois with their recently signed series rookie, Max Garcia. Garcia will be making his first laps behind the wheel of a Dallara-IL15 ahead of his series debut in 2026.
“I’m really looking forward to making my first laps in the INDY NXT car, and getting my relationship with everyone at ABEL Motorsports underway,” said the 16-year-old Garcia. “These past few weeks I have been imagining what it will be like to actually drive the Dallara IL-15, so it will be interesting to see how it translates in real life.”
Garcia will have two days to work with his new team at ABEL Motorsports, and to begin getting familiarized with his new 450-horsepower open-wheel machine.
“We have two days to try different things with the car and my driving style, but ultimately my goal is to get comfortable in the car and to soak up as much knowledge from the team around me that I can,” said Garcia.
“It was great to spend time with the team in Nashville and get an idea of their processes, and how they go about things so I feel like we are already off to a strong start.”
