Jordan Missig is back behind the wheel of a Dallara IL-15 as he evaluates 2025 plans

Speedway, Ind. (October 15, 2024) – With the 2024 INDY NXT by Firestone season in the rearview mirror, ABEL Motorsports switches their focus forward to 2025 and the annual Chris Griffis Memorial Test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on October 18th.

ABEL Motorsports currently has two drivers confirmed for the 2025 season in Yuven Sundaramoorthy & Myles Rowe, who will both be taking part in the one-day test as they work to get reacquainted with the Dallara IL-15.

For Sundaramoorthy it will be back to business, as the now series sophomore begins his journey into the 2025 season.

“Getting a full season under my belt with ABEL Motorsports helps tremendously as we start preparing for next season,” said Sundaramoorthy. “I’ve gotten to know everyone and become not only good friends but good co-workers here which makes things easier becasue we already have that trust built up.”

When thinking about his mindset heading into this off-season, the confidence gained at the end of 2024 remains for Sundaramoorthy.

“I’ve gotten a lot more confident through the end of the season, especially with a couple of podiums at the end of the year which changes our expectations a little bit. That adds a little more pressure, but I think that pressure will help me in the long run.”

With a full season of INDY NXT competition under his belt, Myles Rowe enters the Chris Griffis test determined to get up to speed quickly with his new ABEL Motorsports with Force Indy team.

“I’m really excited to get my time with ABEL Motorsports underway this week at the Speedway,” said Rowe. “I have had the opportunity through karting to get to know not only Jacob Abel, but the whole Abel family, so to get the chance to reconnect with them again and work with them in this capacity is something special.”

As the off-season begins, Rowe is looking towards 2025 with a renewed sense of optimism, but with the same work ethic that has brought him to the INDY NXT series.

“I’ve already started watching the races back from 2024 and getting my mind right for the season. There are a lot of new things that come with joining ABEL Motorsports with Force Indy, but I know some of the team at ABEL and I am really looking forward to this opportunity.”

Returning to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the site of his first top five finish in the INDY NXT series, Callum Hedge is eager to see what he and the ABEL Motorsports outfit can accomplish on the 2.439-mile road course.

“I’m super pumped to be joining ABEL Motorsports for the Chris Griffis test,” exclaimed Hedge. “Indianapolis was a great track for me this season, and a track that I felt incredibly comfortable on.”

A rookie in 2024, Hedge feels that he learned a lot last season that he can take with him through the test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“I really enjoyed driving and racing the INDY NXT car, and something about the Speedway just clicked with my driving style. I’m really looking forward to getting to Indianapolis and seeing what kind of speed I can get out of the car.”

Back for his 6th time in 2024 with ABEL Motorsports, newly crowned Radical Cup Pro 1500 Champion, Jordan Missig, is riding a wave of confidence as the 26-year-old enters the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“I’m thrilled to be back behind the wheel of an INDY NXT car, and especially at a track as iconic as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, said Jordan Missig. “It will take a few laps to get back in the groove, but that’s the same for everyone after being out of the car for a bit of time. But this is a track I have experience on, and experience in these cars on, so I can’t wait.”

Testing provides the perfect opportunity to run as many laps as possible, all while tailoring the car to the driver. That allotted testing time is something Missig is looking forward to.

“Testing is something that is so different from a race weekend. Yes, we are still driving the same cars, but the thought process behind testing is vastly different. We will be able to make experimental changes, and changes that could be exactly what I need. We just have a lot more time to get the car to where I like it, vs. a race weekend where you have to be on it from the start.”

The Chris Griffis Memorial Test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway takes place on Friday October 18th, with testing set to begin in the morning. Round one of the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone Championship is set to take place on March 2nd on the Streets of Downtown St. Petersburg Florida.
