First Podium Finish for Callum Hedge in 2025 INDY NXT Season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

–         Callum Hedge grabs final spot on the podium in INDY NXT race two

–         Jack William Miller drives through the field in both races to score two top tens

Monterey, CA (July 30, 2025) – For the first time in 2025, Callum Hedge has broken through and scored his first podium of the INDY NXT by Firestone season at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

For the 21-year-old Kiwi, the weekend at WeatherTech Raceway was filled with constant improvements to the 17 machine after finishing practice sixth and fifth on the charts.

“First podium of the season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this weekend! It was overall a tricky weekend, practice revealed that we had some changes to the car we needed to make, but after that we were right in the window,” said Hedge.

“We qualified decently strong with fifth for both races, and after a bit of battling I managed to slip through into third on Sunday afternoon’s race. With only a few races left this season, we need to maximize our momentum from this podium and make sure that this isn’t the only trophy we grab this season,” exclaimed Callum Hedge.

Jack William Miller and the number 40 Patterson Dental / HomeLink car had another weekend of driving through the field, after a difficult qualifying session that saw Miller end up in 15th for race one and 17th for race two.

“Crazy weekend with lots of ups and downs. We had an issue that prevented us from getting the full amount of track time during practice, so to walk away with two top tens is just a testament to this group,” stated Jack William Miller.

“We were able to roll with the punches in the Patterson Dental / HomeLink car and grab two 7th place finishes after coming through the field in both races. Just want to give a shoutout to all the guys on the ABEL Motorsports crew for their hard work in getting us going,” said Jack William Miller.

Ready to get back to work after his history making win at the Iowa Speedway, Myles Rowe made the most out of his weekend on the West Coast.

“While we weren’t on the top step of the podium this weekend, we still scored some points in Laguna but we just didn’t have the pace to challenge up front,” explained Rowe.

“I really enjoyed the track and the weekend, all the support there, especially after Iowa and seeing all the fans support, it was just amazing. Looking forward to continuing our journey in Portland very soon,” said Rowe.

A tale of two fortunes for Jordan Missig in California as good luck would head the Illinois native way followed quickly by adversity that he would have to overcome.

“A bit of a mixed bag I would say for us in Laguna Seca. We would have some good momentum head our way, then bad luck would hit us right after. We didn’t get the result we had worked for, but to salvage two top tens is a small victory,” said Missig.

“I know we can do better than we have, so we are going to work as hard as we can for these next three races to bring back a result, but good finishes are on the horizon,” exclaimed Missig.

It’s a quick week off for ABEL Motorsports and their drivers, before heading back West to the Portland International Raceway on August 8 – 10. Keep up to date with all things ABEL Motorsports by following the team on social media, @abelmotorsports, or by visiting www.abelmotorsports.com
