ABEL Motorsports Ready for July Fourth Classic at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

–         Callum Hedge eyeing Mid-Ohio return after finishing a strong fourth here last season

Speedway, Ind. (July 4, 2025) – ABEL Motorsports makes their way to a timeless classic on the INDY NXT calendar, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for round eight of the 2025 championship.

Callum Hedge made a visit to the Ohio area a week early, to attend the Columbus Crew soccer game ahead of the series annual trip to Ohio over the July fourth weekend.

“I love racing at Mid-Ohio, and it was great to get to go to Ohio early and check out the Columbus Crew game with Jacob Abel. Heaps of fun, and great to just get plugged in with the fans ahead of our race here,” said Callum Hedge.

When the INDY NXT series came to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course earlier in the year, Hedge showed real promise with the pace he had.

“We tested at Mid-Ohio in the Spring when it was a bit cooler and had plenty of speed, and a really comfortable race car. We know the heat will be more of a factor this weekend, but I’m keen to get out in the heat and cut a few laps, and get our season back on track,” explained Hedge.

Looking forward to the second half of the season, and gaining as much ground on the championship front runners as possible, Jordan Missig is excited to get back to work this weekend in Ohio.

“Mid-Ohio has always been a tricky track for me, given that one mistake in a corner compounds for the rest of the lap so you really have to nail your marks. This also marks the start to the second half of the season and while I would say the first half was a little subpar to my standards, I would like to expect better results going forward into the second half of the season,” explained Missig.

After his best qualifying effort to date in INDY NXT, Jack William Miller heads to Mid-Ohio excited with what he and the 40 car crew have been able to find.

“Mid-Ohio is such a classic track in the INDYCAR world, and to go there over the July 4th weekend makes it even that much more exciting,” said Jack William Miller.

“I was decently strong here last year making up six spots during the race and based on how we have been running lately there’s no reason we can’t be even higher up in the results. Ready to get back to work in the number 40 Patterson Dental/HomeLink machine,” exclaimed Jack William Miller.

Currently fourth in the INDY NXT by Firestone points standings, Georgia native Myles Rowe, is looking to come out of the box swinging when the cars hit the track for practice on Friday.

“Very excited to be racing again at Mid-Ohio and to keep building on our momentum from another top five and a great test at Milwaukee where we ended up at the top of the board,” said Myles Rowe.

“I’m really looking to start the weekend off a bit better than we normally do so we don’t have to work as hard throughout the weekend. If we can do that, things will be looking good for us in qualifying and the race. Ready to just get back at it,” exclaimed Myles Rowe.

The INDY NXT Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio gets underway on Friday July 4th with the opening practice session live on Fox Sports 2. Practice two and qualifying follow on Saturday July 5th live on Fox Sports 1. 35 laps of INDY NXT action gets underway on Sunday July 6th with coverage beginning on Fox Sports 1 at 10:30am ET.
