Elkhart Lake, WI (June 30, 2026) – The annual pilgrimage to picturesque Elkhart Lake Wisconsin and America’s National Park of Speed, Road America, has come and gone, and unfortunately for the Abel Motorsports squad it wasn’t the weekend they had hoped for or worked for.
Colin Kaminsky looks forward to the weekend at Road America every year, but unfortunately the weekend was not as sweet as he would have liked.
“My favorite track in the country and a weekend I look forward to every year, unfortunately it bit us hard this year,” expressed Kaminsky.

While practice and qualifying didn’t go Kaminsky’s way, his No. 57 Slick Locks Abel Motorsports machine came alive in both races, even gaining as many as 11 spots in race two.
“We just didn’t have the pace in practice and qualifying so I had to start at the back in both races. I was able to have great starts in both races and move my way forward. I was up five spots in race one before I got punted in turn one, dampening our comeback. In race two I was up 11 spots into the top-10 before I crashed myself out while attempting a pass. It’s a mistake that is hard to accept given that the car had top-5 pace and we were on our way to our best finish of the year. The plan now is take our good pace and fight at the front for the remainder of the season, securing good results for the hardworking Abel Motorsports team.”
Scoring his fourth top-10 finish in the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season, rookie Max Garcia was pleased with the progress he and his No. 12 crew made throughout the weekend at Road America, but the competitor in him has Garcia hungry for more.

“We had some good pace in the USF Pro Championships car at Road America, but unfortunately we don’t have the finishes to show for it,” stated 17-year-old Max Garcia.
With two opportunities to chase a trophy, Garcia took the lessons learned in race one and was eager to apply them in race two and make a push for the podium.
“We had a lot more speed than our finish showed, but getting caught up in that early contact put us on the back foot. The team did an awesome job getting the car patched up so we could get back out there and salvage what we could. It’s not the result we wanted, but I’m proud of how we fought back.”
Leading the Abel squad in Wisconsin with a best finish of fifth in race two, Myles Rowe took the championship points he could collect as he looks ahead to the next set of double-header races at Mid-Ohio.
“We didn’t have the outright pace to battle up front at Road America, but I’m proud of our 99 crew for continuing to work hard and keep pushing for more,” said Rowe.

Sitting sixth in the points, just 86 points out of the championship lead Rowe knows that every point matters in the hunt for the championship.
“We collected decent points in the double-header at Road America, but I am fully focused on the next double-header at Mid-Ohio and grabbing as many points as we can. Each point truly matters, so we are fully focused on getting as many points as possible through the remaining rounds.”
Showing flashes of speed throughout the weekend, Jordan Missig was excited heading into the two races at Road America.
“The weekend at Road America didn’t go quite as I expected it. I thought we had showed decent pace throughout practice and qualifying and had pretty good race cars going into the race, but just didn’t quite execute as well in the race portion,” said Missig.

With Road America being so close to Missig’s hometown of Joliet Illinois, the weekend in Wisconsin was one filled with friends and family cheering Jordan on.
“I appreciate all the love and support that I had over the weekend from friends and family and partners that were able to come out, I couldn’t do this without their constant support!”
