Abel Motorsports Ready for Battle on the Streets of Detroit

Detroit, MI (May 29, 2026) – Abel Motorsports returns to INDY NXT competition this weekend, as the four-car team heads to the Streets of Downtown Detroit for the Detroit Grand Prix.

Colin Kaminsky returns to a track he has previously had success at with the Abel Motorsports crew, and is looking forward to besting his 2023 finish of eighth in race two.

“I’m excited for the Streets of Detroit this weekend. It’s a track that I really like and the Abel Motorsports crew and I were quick when I last raced there in 2023,” said Colin Kaminsky.

“Rolling into the thick of the season, it’s time to start putting results on the board.”

For INDY NXT rookie Max Garcia, another new track is getting added to his resume and a track that Garcia has been looking forward to due to the technical nature of the layout.

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend in Detroit and my first time racing through the streets! The track looks super tight and technical, but ready to get back to work with Abel Motorsports and continue pushing forward,” said the Florida native.

Ready to rebound after a difficult double-header at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Jordan Missig is ready to get back to the grindstone and continue working on chasing podiums and wins in the number 48 car.

“It was awesome getting to spend another month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and get to spend it with Abel Motorsports watching them compete in the Indianapolis 500,” said Jordan Missig.

“I can’t wait to get back in the 48 machine around Detroit, it’s such an interesting track with the split pit lane and just how tight it is. Ready to see what we have for them this weekend!”

With Street-Circuits being his favorite type of track, the weekend at Detroit is always circled on Myles Rowe’s calendar and 2026 is no different.

“I always love racing in Detroit, the street-circuits just have such a unique energy about them so can’t wait to get back to doing that, and working with my 99 team,” said Rowe.

“It was good to get a bit of a break and mentally reset and re-focus and just get totally prepared for Detroit, but not it’s time to get back to work and get the 99 to the front.”
