Abel Motorsports Kicks Off Action Packed Month of May with the Indianapolis Grand Prix Double-Header

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Indianapolis, Ind. (May 8, 2026) – The Month of May is officially underway at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Abel Motorsports, officially getting the month underway on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road-Course for the second double-header of the 2026 INDY NXT season.

Myles Rowe returns to the Speedway after an impressive effort in 2025 scoring his first INDY NXT podium of his career in race one matching his result the following day in race two.

“Really excited to be back at the Speedway, really looking for a strong points weekend at the home track for the team,” exclaimed Rowe.

“Ready to get back with the group and get to work.”

Rookie, Max Garcia, already has a win at the legendary race track under his belt after earning victory here in 2024 in the USF 2000 series.

“I cannot wait to be back racing after the month break we had. We had some great tests during that time off we had and I think we learned lots about ourselves and the car,” said Garcia.

“I’m looking forward to applying what we learned in race mode.”

Jordan Missig used the time off to continue dialing in the No. 48 Dallara, but for the Illinois native nothing compares to the chance to chase trophies.

“Finally ready to get back to some racing action. We had some pretty good testing results throughout the month break but I’m ready to get back to fighting for some hardware,” stated Missig.

“We’re coming off some good momentum at Barber and are now ready to take it up a notch and go for some top-five and podiums, maybe even a win this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”

Refreshed and confident, Colin Kaminsky is looking forward to getting the double-header at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway underway after three successful tests with the Abel Motorsports team.

“I’m really excited for the Indianapolis Grand Prix this weekend, Abel Motorsports and I have had a great month of testing to work on our pace and systems and I think we have found our sweet spot,” said Kaminsky.

“We were eighth in all three tests which I think reflects positive takeaways on where we expect to run in these next few races as we continue to build up to a winning effort. Also, it’s May!”

The Indianapolis Grand Prix double-header kicks off on Friday May 8, with practice, qualifying and race one. Race one will be shown live on FOX Sports 2 at 4:00pm ET. Saturday brings the final race for the Abel Motorsports squad with coverage kicking off on FOX Sports 1 beginning at 2:30pm ET.
