Testing Notes: Chris Griffis Memorial Test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

–         Over 800 miles of testing completed for ABEL Motorsports during the Chris Griffis Memorial Test

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Speedway, Ind. (November 7, 2025) The work and preparations for the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season are officially underway as ABEL Motorsports brought their four-car lineup to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a full day of testing. ABEL Motorsports completed over 800 miles on the day among their four cars.

Back in the saddle for the first time since World Wide Technology Raceway in 2023, Colin Kaminsky had a permanent smile on his face as he spent the day getting back up to speed with the Dallara IL-15.

“First time back in the car in over two years, so it was just great getting reacquainted to the INDY NXT car and remembering where everything is at in the cockpit,” said Kaminsky.

“Since my time at ABEL the team has had great success, so I knew it was going to come down to me getting the most out of the car that I could while at the same time readjusting to the speed at which things come at you in this car. As always it will come down to doing all of the little things right, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work on the little things at Barber to close out the year.”

Back for a second season of full-time INDY NXT competition, Jordan Missig looks back on the progress he has made over the course of one season and is excited to see what that experience will help him achieve in 2026.

“The Chris Griffis test went well for us, with lots of eye-opening things to take away and carry in to our next test at Barber Motorsports Park,” said Jordan Missig.

“The timing charts won’t show our true pace but I was pleased to see what our times were compared to where I was last year and that’s all apart of doing a second year. It was great to get back with the ABEL Motorsports crew and to drive again at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, just so grateful for the opportunity and hungry for more.”

Back for his second outing in the Dallara IL-15, Max Garcia continued to get comfortable with his newly liveried USF Pro Championships number 12.

“Overall I was pleased with our day in the 12 car, it was another day of learning and I definitely came away with a few things that will help us moving forward,” said sixteen-year-old Garcia.

“With one more test before we wrap up 2025, our main focus at Barber is going to be making sure that we leave with a clear direction as we head into downtime. If we can land on a direction heading into 2026 with the car setup, we should be setting ourselves to come out of the box swinging.”

After scoring his first two victories in the INDY NXT by Firestone championship in 2025, veteran Myles Rowe was glad to get back to doing what he does best while working on his campaign for 2026.

“I’m very happy with what we accomplished at the Chris Griffis test, I feel like we learned a good amount that will help us next season,” said Myles Rowe.

“We’ve got one more test to go this season and I’m just really looking forward to continuing to put in work so we can hopefully raise a trophy at the end of the season in 2026.” Said Myles Rowe.
