Final Test Ahead of 2025 INDY NXT Season

For the final time ahead of the 2025 season start, ABEL Motorsports heads to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for two-days of testing.

Jack William Miller joins ABEL Motorsports with Miller Vinatieri Motorsports for the 2025 season beginning his time at ABEL at this test.

Speedway, Ind. (February 5, 2025) – For the final time ahead of the start of the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season, ABEL Motorsports heads to the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for two-days of testing with their four car lineup.

Joliet Illinois native, Jordan Missig, is excited to head to a track that he has some familiarity with while also getting to experience an open-wheel car around the 2.2-mile road-course for the first time.

“I’m very excited to head to the West Coast to continue our testing program at Laguna Seca. I have driven there before, but this will be my first time around the track in an open-wheel formula car, so looking forward to what that experience will be like,” said Jordan Missig.

As the season looms right around the corner, Missig knows this test is one of the final chances to make sure everything is in place before round one.

“For us, this is definitely our final preperations. This test will give us great feedback and data for when we come here in July, but it also will give us that final check to make sure everything is completely right before St. Pete,” said Missig.

All of the test sessions leading to this point have the driver of the No. 17 car, Callum Hedge, excited for the season to come.

“It’s been a great start to my partnership with ABEL Motorsports being near the top at almost every test, but this test is just continuing to build on what we have already started, and just continuing to learn,” said Hedge.

With the benefit of time during test sessions, Hedge and the No. 17 crew are looking forward to continuing down a few different paths setup wise.

“My engineer and I have really been putting in a lot of work trying to explore different combinations of chassis setup that could help us at different tracks throughout the year. We all want to end every session P1, but at the end of the day we know these tests are more important than just what is on the charts,” exclaimed Callum Hedge.

As Myles Rowe heads to the final test sessions, the goals remain the same: continue to build up his notebook with ABEL Motorsports, while taking in all that this opportunity brings.

“I’m really looking forward to heading out to California, I love driving at Laguna Seca (WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca) so just really excited to get there and get back to work with the ABEL Motorsports crew,” said Rowe.

As the relationship between Rowe and his head engineer Kent Boyer continues to grow, the key in Rowe’s eyes to success is the continuation of working together and continuing to just have fun at the race track.

“Even though we have only had three test sessions together, the chemistry Kent and I have is amazing. He knows what I need before I say anything, and our philosophies on racing line up perfectly, so just excited to continue building that trust and notebook while also just having a blast driving race cars,” exclaimed Rowe.

The newest face to ABEL Motorsports, Jack William Miller, is looking forward to getting to work with the ABEL crew while leaning on the experience he gained in 2024.

Moving over from a single car entry in 2024 to a four-car organization in 2025 is a change that the Indianapolis native is looking forward to, all while getting used to the new procedural process at ABEL.

“Our deal came together pretty late, but I’m excited to get to work with my new teammates and just getting dialed in for the season. My goals for this test are obviously to be quick, but more so than that just learning and understanding how ABEL Motorsports goes about a race weekend, how they do their debriefs, just all the small things that will make a difference when the season begins,” said Miller.

The 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season gets underway on the Downtown streets of St. Petersburg Florida on March 2nd , live on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 10:00am ET.
