FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ABEL Motorsports will have four drivers testing in Sebring, consisting of Myles Rowe, Callum Hedge, Jordan Missig, and Jacob Abel.
Jacob Abel will be testing with the team to help dial in new setup packages ahead of the 2025 season.
Speedway, Ind. (January 14, 2025) – The start of the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season has arrived, with ABEL Motorsports making the trek south to the Sebring International Raceway for the first official INDY NXT test session of the year. ABEL Motorsports will once again have four drivers participating, with Myles Rowe, Callum Hedge, Jordan Missig, and Jacob Abel who will re-join the ABEL Motorsports for this test to help the team dial in setups ahead of the season.
Fresh off of his announcement of full-time INDY NXT competition in 2025, Jordan Missig is keen to continue to develop his relationship with ABEL Motorsports and car 48 ahead of the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

“It was honestly great to go through the Holiday’s knowing what my plans would be for the 2025 season, and it allowed me a chance to recharge and slow down a bit before the start of the season so that was great but I missed being in the car,” said Jordan Missig.
The annual tradition of kicking off the INDY NXT by Firestone season on a street circuit provides an interesting challenge to both teams and drivers as they work to build setups for tracks they do not have the ability to test on.
“We don’t have the opportunity to go test on street circuits like St. Pete for example, so having these two days at Sebring will be paramount for us as we see what our setups look like for St. Pete. Sebring is such a bumpy and rough track, we will really put our cars through their paces but again this will be a great barometer for us as we look to the start of the season in March,” said Missig.
Back for year two of INDY NXT competition, New Zealand’s Callum Hedge is thrilled to get his first taste of Sebring International Raceway, as last year the 21-year-old suffered an appendicitis and was unable to compete in the testing sessions.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back into the car this week at Sebring, especially because I missed this test last year as a result of my appendicitis, can’t believe it has been a complete year since then,” said Callum Hedge.
With the close competition in INDY NXT racing, Hedge knows that physical fitness is one variable that he has complete control over, and one that will be important as the season progresses.
“As we head into the 2025 season, we are working on fine tuning everything and one of the biggest areas of focus I have will be on my physical fitness and just getting into the best shape possible. I think combining that with our attention to the small details will lead us to a true contender for the 2025 INDY NXT championship,” said Hedge.
Setting the pace in the two test sessions to wrap up 2024, 24-year-old Myles Rowe knows that consistency will be the key in 2025 and that consistency begins with testing.

“It was great to get some time away from everything and just be with family, but there’s nothing like being behind the wheel or a race car so I couldn’t be more excited to get to Sebring and get the year going,” said Myles Rowe.
After leading the charts in both off-season tests at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Barber Motorsports Park, Rowe knows that the team has the pace but finding the small details is what will separate them from the pack.
“As a team, I think we know that when we execute together, we have it. Testing at Sebring which is so rough and bumpy, will really give us a good feel for what the changes we make will actually do to the car. We can simulate setups for St. Petersburg and have the ability to see what those changes do over the bumps.
It’s always about being fast, but more so just building that notebook of changes that we can look to when we will have more limited track times like on a race weekends,” said Rowe.
Two days of testing at the legendary Sebring International Raceway begins on Wednesday January 15th and concludes on Thursday January 16th.
